Kelly Tompkins, owner of Hive Appeal, is a designer and mural painter who uses colors and shapes to cause smiles and bits of joy around Enid and elsewhere. Kelly has been a lifelong artist of various sorts, and making things have always brought her joy. She got to use her creativity as the Director of Main Street Enid, 2012-2019, by infusing art into many community-building and creative placemaking projects and events. Since then, Kelly and Ty have enjoyed making a difference in a colorful way, with 11 large outdoor murals around Enid and a 66-foot Indian Blanket mural on Route 66 in Sapulpa, OK. Her next projects include a mural at Pleasant Vale Elementary, the first Northwest Mural Fest in Alva, and an art project that is reviving her love for wire sculpture. She hopes her bold shapes and bright colors bring people moments of joy.
