MAIN STREET ENID
Established in 1994, our nonprofit organization has been the driving force behind the revival of downtown Enid. When shopping malls began to pull people away from the heart of the city, we stepped in to breathe new life into our beloved district.
With the support of a board, dedicated small staff, community partners, and an army of incredible volunteers, we’ve been working tirelessly to preserve the charm and character of downtown Enid. Our mission goes beyond just bricks and mortar; we're all about enhancing the quality of life for our community. From exciting events that bring people together to facade grants that keep our historic buildings beautiful, we’re here to make downtown Enid a place where everyone can thrive. Join us in celebrating the past, present, and future of our downtown district! Whether you're a local business owner, a community member, or just someone who loves a good time, there's always something happening on Main Street. MAIN STREET ENID AFFILIATES
Main Street Enid is a proud affiliate of Main Street America and Main Street Oklahoma. Main Street America has been at the forefront of revitalizing older and historic commercial districts for over 40 years, established in 1980 as a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Their approach centers on creating places of shared prosperity, equal access to opportunity, and inclusive engagement. Oklahoma’s Main Street program, launched in 1986, has invigorated communities statewide through historic preservation and economic development, resulting in over $2.17 billion in reinvestment. Main Street Enid is dedicated to this mission, following the proven Main Street America 4-Point Approach and 8 Guiding Principles.
