Transformation Tuesday - Why a Streetscape?

You’ve probably heard talk about possible changes to downtown! Lane narrowing, four-way stops, mid-block parking, even a pedestrian-only block. You’ve also probably heard a mix of opinions and information.

That’s why Main Street Enid is launching a new series on why a streetscape matters, what it could look like here, and how it can impact safety, business, and community life.

Our first post in the series is a short video showing the dramatic transformation of Lancaster, California’s downtown through their own streetscape project. It’s a clear example of how rethinking a street can change the way people use it.
